The Crestron DIN-DLI DALI Lighting Controller 

The Crestron DIN-DLI will be on display at the ISE 2025 Expo booth. It’s a next-generation DALI® standard lighting controller designed to simplify complexity for integrators and bring the beauty of dynamic lighting to a homeowner’s fingertips.

DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) is the industry standard for digital lighting control, allowing precise management of individual fixtures. DALI2 enhances this standard with increased interoperability and reliability. Within DALI2, Device Type 8 (DT8) defines tunable white luminaires, enabling dynamic control over color temperature and brightness — perfect for creating the ideal ambiance in any room.

The DIN-DLI builds upon the foundation of an existing solution — the Crestron DIN-DALI-2 — but it goes further in addressing the complexities of integrating DALI2 and DT8 in residential settings. Previously, achieving dynamic tunable white lighting often required intricate programming, adding time and cost to projects. The DIN-DLI simplifies this with native DT8 support, allowing seamless control of color temperature and brightness directly within the Crestron Home® OS, reducing programming time and increasing efficiency for dealers.

As updates continue to the Crestron Home® OS, the latest advancements will be front and center at the ISE 2025 show. In addition to support for features noted in this blog post (and others), some further major integrations are on tap:

• Third-party door locks: The list of manufacturers that Crestron Home OS supports continues to expand, allowing for more options for residential smart locks and a more intuitive experience for them inside the app.
• Updated KNX driver: Last year, we made it possible to easily integrate the Crestron Home OS and KNX with a small, powerful DIN rail unit. Now, we’re adding another way to control KNX through a new partnership with 1Home and a driver developed by TIG — a truly groundbreaking solution.
• Tesla® driver: Now you can check battery health, optimize charging times, and more for your Tesla vehicle — right from the Creston Home OS app via a driver developed by Intrinsic (DEV).
• Energy management, utilities, and power: We’ve added a host of new integrations that “power up” the Crestron Home ecosystem in more ways than one.
• More powerful climate control: Wider enhancements with CoolAutomation and Airzone now build a massive, more simplified way to control climate. It’s a must-see.
• DGE-1000: The DGE1000 instantly transforms any HD touch screen display into an advanced Crestron controller — and we’re showcasing just that, with an integration with Opale and their unique mirror TV solution, which lets clients control their smart home as they’re getting ready for the day.
