Crestron Fusion® Software Now Supports Interactive Dashboard Functionality and Data Visualization

New Crestron Fusion^® Dashboard package connects Crestron Fusion database to popular business intelligence applications; includes dashboard template for Microsoft^® Power BI^® application
 

Rockleigh, NJ – March 5, 2018 – Crestron, a global leader in enterprise control and automation technology, announced today it is now shipping Crestron Fusion Dashboard, which enables business intelligence professionals to connect their BI software of choice such as Microsoft Power BI^®, Tableau^®, or QlikSense^®, to the Crestron Fusion enterprise management software database and generate powerful analytics and data visualizations. A template for Microsoft Power BI is provided as a starting point to publish a dashboard and corresponding report to the Power BI service. Crestron Fusion Dashboard also provides customers with the ability to create their own templates. Existing Crestron Fusion customers with an on-premises database or those using the Crestron hosted Crestron Fusion in the Cloud service (CFITC) can use the Crestron Fusion Dashboard.
 
Getting started
To get started, customers simply download the Crestron Fusion Dashboard package from the Crestron Fusion product page at crestron.com. A Power BI template for the Crestron Fusion Dashboard is provided, along with documentation, to publish a Crestron Fusion report to a Microsoft Power BI Pro account.
 
Supports other popular BI applications
Customers can use the published Crestron Fusion Dashboard schema to connect any business intelligence software such as Tableau or QlikSense to the Crestron Fusion database. At launch, the Crestron Fusion Dashboard package will only include a template for Microsoft Power BI.
 
Report Readiness Tool
Included with the Crestron Fusion Dashboard package is the Report Readiness Tool (RRT) program. The RRT will analyze a Crestron Fusion database to determine if the data exists to support Crestron Fusion reports and the Crestron Fusion Dashboard template for Microsoft Power BI.
