Crestron® Room Scheduling Touch Screens provide an invaluable productivity tool for organizations with multiple conference rooms and meeting spaces. Mounted on the wall outside each room, they allow anyone to see at-a-glance if a room is available or in use, view details about the current meeting, and look up the room’s entire schedule. Upcoming meetings and open time slots are clearly displayed on the color touch screen, and users can even reserve a room right on the spot.
Room Scheduling Touch Screens end the wasteful practice of searching the corridors for an available room. They eliminate confusion over which room is booked ─ by whom and for how long ─ and allow attendees to verify they’re in the right place before entering a room. They help organizations to maximize productivity and get the most usable time out of every room.
Crestron Room Scheduling Touch Screens are designed to be installed as part of a complete enterprise room scheduling solution using Fusion RV® Remote Asset Management Software.
Form and Function
The TPMC-3SM Room Scheduling Touch Screen features a 2.8 inch (72 mm) color display. Its intuitive on-screen interface allows for viewing and accessing essential meeting and scheduling information. Shortcut buttons are also included to provide quick access to the most common scheduling functions.
With its ultra-compact size and clean, modern appearance, the TPMC-3SM makes an unimposing yet elegant statement in any office building, conference center, hotel, or university. It mounts on the wall over a standard electrical box.[1] Its contoured shape affords clear visibility down long corridors, with room status indicators at either side that shine green when the room is available and red when it is in use.
Room Scheduling
The TPMC-3SM is optimized for use with Crestron Fusion RV software , enabling tight integration with popular scheduling applications like Microsoft® Exchange, Office 365™, IBM® Notes®, CollegeNET® R25®, and Google Calendar™. Through its color touch screen, the TPMC-3SM provides essential room scheduling capabilities that can be customized to suit the needs of any organization. Its main screen displays a clear, at-a-glance view of the current reservation, with the ability to also see upcoming reservations and available time slots at the press of a button. New reservations can be scheduled on the spot, and you can even search other rooms on the network and reserve any room without leaving the touch screen you’re at.
Tactile Pushbuttons
To complement its color touch screen, the TPMC-3SM includes physical pushbuttons for quick access to the most common scheduling functions. The “Today” button at the upper left corner jumps to the current day view, while the “Close” button at the upper right quickly closes whatever page is currently displayed. These buttons are also backlit, illuminating green or red to indicate when the room is available or in use.
Below the screen are additional buttons. The “Select” button (labeled with a + sign) provides a quick way to select a meeting to view its details, or select a time slot to reserve a room, depending on the current view on screen. “Down” and “Up” buttons enable scrolling through the day’s schedule, while the “More” button on the left accesses the next available page of info, rooms, or days.
Single-Wire PoE Connectivity
An Ethernet LAN connection is all that is required to wire the TPMC-3SM. Using PoE technology, the device gets its operating power right through the LAN wiring. A PoE Injector (PWE-4803RU [1]) simply connects in line with the LAN cable at any convenient location. Crestron PoE switches (CEN-SW-POE-5 or CEN-SWPOE-16 [1]) may also be used to provide a total networking solution with built-in PoE.
Simple Wall Box Mounting
The TPMC-3SM mounts directly to a single-gang electrical box or European/UK electrical box, requiring just 1/2-inch (13 mm) mounting depth while protruding just over 1/2-inch (15 mm) from the wall surface for a clean, low-profile appearance.
